A baseball podcast featuring candid conversation from college players talking about their personal journey navigating the college recruiting process. Real Recruiting Stories benefit high school players and their families on the path toward getting “committed.”

 Season I – Episode I

Michael Ludowig

Started as a freshman in the ACC.  Arrived as a 2-way guy and says it’s not lack of velocity that stopped his pitching career; it was inability to command sharp biting breaking balls.  During the show, he also speaks about hitting fast balls in college & not needing a big adjustment compared to his good high school league or Showcase Team velocities. Rather, the adjustment as a college hitter is being able to compete against good breaking stuff compared to high school.

About Real Recruiting

Mark Wrighte has been involved with college recruiting for over a decade. He currently coaches both high school and showcase baseball. Since 2010, he has been traveling the country coaching and networking with high school prospects, their parents, and numerous college coaches. Coach Wrighte has helped multiple players navigate the recruiting process into the Ivy League, Power 5 Conferences, and a myriad of other D1 conferences. He has also guided 100’s of players who have committed to Junior College (JUCO), D2, and D3.  The verbal commitment, coupled with the National Letter of Intent have historically served as “The End” of the recruiting process.  However, Coach Wrighte is now cracking the door back open and asking current college players to reflect on their respective recruitment process.
